# Sales

> Submit POS sale transactions and retrieve a venue's sales history.

Submit point-of-sale transactions to NowBookIt and retrieve a venue's sales history. Sales can optionally be linked to an existing booking, in which case NowBookIt reconciles them automatically.

> All monetary amounts are **integer cents** (`2500` = \$25.00) — never decimal dollars.

>
> Submitting a sale returns `202 Accepted` as soon as the payload is validated. Processing (matching to a booking, storing the record) happens moments later — poll [List Sales](/platform/sales/list-sales) if you need to confirm the outcome.
